My paintings of plants, wildlife, and landscapes are inspired by the beautiful world I live in. I want my work to share how joyful and exciting I find the vivid colours and intricate details that are everywhere in the natural environment.
When I am not painting and drawing, I love to write poetry and prose about nature and the world around me.
I grew up on the south coast of England, alongside the ever-changing moods and colours of the pebble beaches that edge Brighton and Hove. For the past twenty years, I have lived just outside Tunbridge Wells, Kent – the Garden of England.
I have dabbled with weaving willow for several years, but it really took off for me three years ago. Now I spend most of my spare time weaving baskets in my garden. Willow weaving is a grounding craft that gives me a mindful connection with the earth.
